Sharon Burridge
Watercolor &
Stainglass Artist

I love color and  nature, then turning these visions into watercolors and stained glass.

The first 30 years of my career were all about stained and fused glass. You might have seen the stained glass in the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, a few blocks west of here, at 525 Minuteman Causeway.

I started painting in watercolor years ago. There are interesting differences between glass and watercolor. Glass has lots of rules, while mixing colors on paper, trying to control the color, keeps me interested.

I am a local resident, and I went to high school at Satellite Beach. I am now living on North Merritt Island with my husband Peter, a retired Space Center engineer. Lots of wildlife out here to inspire. For example, the otters in my painting are from our pond, where they come yearly to eat our  fish.

I love to do commissions. Listening to clients describe their visions, then finding ways to combine their ideas with mine is especially fulfilling.

I make giclee prints from my originals. Giclee prints are made with high quality inks, creating lovely intense colors. I have a bin in the back with prints and a few originals. Prints can also be ordered in various sizes.

You can see years of my art on Facebook  “Stained Glass by Sharon Earl Burridge”. There are albums for watercolors, fused glass, etc.
