Friends in Wild Places
Marc Muench & Brean Duncan
Nature Photography Exhibition
From March 2nd through March 26, 2026, the Studios of Cocoa Beach presents a captivating dual photography exhibition by professional landscape and wildlife photographer, Marc Muench, and environmentalist, Brean Duncan.
Marc and Brean both grew up in Santa Barbara, California, where they met in high school through rock climbing. Climbing quickly became their central shared passion, leading to frequent trips into the mountainous regions of the western United States. Surrounded by wild landscapes, their climbing days often ended with celebrating the day’s accomplishments and photographing the warm light of sunset together.
While attending college, Brean studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara, pursuing his calling as a scientist dedicated to environmental protection. Marc followed his passion for photography at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. Marc is now based in Santa Barbara and travels the world—first for commercial photography and now through Muench Workshops—teaching photography in some of the most remote and beautiful locations on the planet.
Brean moved to Florida to work in the Ecological Program at Kennedy Space Center. Although geographically separated, Marc and Brean continue to travel together whenever possible to photograph remote landscapes. Their friendship remains strong, and they deeply value the time they spend exploring and photographing wild, beautiful places together.
Reception - Friday, March 13, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM
Take advantage of meeting two dedicated and successful photographers at the reception for this exciting event. Through live video, Marc will share his commercial career in photography, while Brean will be there in person to highlight the remote areas featured in this special presentation.
