FEB 10| MULTI DAY ABSTRACT ELEMENTS IN PAINTING WORKSHOP

$325.00
10 available

Feb. 10 and Feb. 17 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

For Beginners and those wishing to supplement their skills, this workshop will help you develop abstract painting techniques that can be used in your impressionistic, realistic or abstract paintings. For the purpose of this class, participants will use acrylics, but learned skills are applicable to all media. Focus will be on techniques rather than a finished painting and you will learn picture layouts, color components to consider, and how to evaluate your painting needs from a different perspective. In each class, all will be involved in experimental painting. Between the two workshops, each participant will be given directions for further investigation from home, if desired. ALL supplies are included. Have fun with Jan learning how to incorporate these interesting painting dynamics from the abstract view.

Instructor Bio: Jan is a professional artist and instructor with her BFA and Masters in Education and Art. She brings her 50+ years of experience to the participants in every class. She believes that: "it is important to interpret art as you wish, to enjoy the art of painting, to not feel the need to copy any painting/instructor, and to feel progress, which is her passion." She works to develop each persons' individual style and desires.

NO SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED. If participant wishes supplies for the 9 x 12 painting, the supply fee is $45 payable to the instructor at class. Must make prior arrangements with Jan, 321 426 6485. Registrants will receive a suggested paint/supply list prior to class.

If a minimum of 3 students have not registered within 48 hours of the class date, the class will be rescheduled or refunded.
